Mary Jane Blige (born January 11, 1971 in The Bronx, New York ) is a popular African-American R&B and soul singer, songwriter and producer.

Music career
Though she was innate in The Bronx, Blige grew higher in the public housing of Yonkers, eventually dropping away from school prior to graduating.
